Los tejidos y redes orgánicas (ej: micelio, venas, raíces, neuronas, bronquios, etc) tienden a estructurarse de la manera más enérgicamente eficiente posible, desplegando largos y tubulares canales para que entre ellos fluya información, sustancias, impulsos, nutrientes, moléculas, y demás.
Este proyecto pretende explorar ese fenómeno y usarlo en un intento de transmitir la sensación de interconexión, interrelacionalidad e intercomunicación entre seres vivos, que respiran, que se interfieren y se transforman.
Para ello quiero traducir lo micro en algo macro: lo invisible/imperceptible (o más bien: lo ignorado) en algo imposible de ignorar, de no ver, de no sentir, oír, tocar, vivir. Desde la instalación de piezas textiles bordadas, llenas de fibras desplegadas y expandidas, y el uso de luz y sombra como recursos materiales de espacialización inmersiva, busco que quienes habiten tal producción puedan sumergirse en ella y disponerse a mi representación de un todo: interconectado, vivo y en constante palpitar.
Abstrakt
Tissues and organic networks (e.g. mycelium, veins, roots, neurons, bronchi, etc.) tend to be structured in the most energetically efficient way possible, deploying long and tubular channels so that information, substances, impulses, nutrients, molecules flow between them, amongst other things.
This project aims to explore that phenomenon and use it in an attempt to convey the feeling of interconnection, interrelationality and intercommunication between living, breathing, interfering and transforming beings.
To do this I want to turn what´s micro into something macro: the invisible/imperceptible (or rather: the ignored) into something impossible to ignore, not see, not feel, hear, touch, live. Through the installation of embroidered textile pieces, full of spreaded and expanded fibers, and the use of light and shadow as material resources of immersive spatialization, I seek that those who inhabit such production can immerse themselves in it and dispose themselves to my representation of an interconnected, live and constantly palpitating whole.
