Una espera entretenida - Diseño de sistemas de entretenimiento para niños en espacios de espera

Este trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo principal transformar la experiencia del viajero en el Aeropuerto El Dorado, pasando de ser simplemente un lugar de tránsito a convertirse en un espacio que promueva el bienestar de toda la comunidad. Al centrarse en las necesidades de los niños y adoptar un enfoque inclusivo, el proyecto aspira establecer estándares más elevados en cuanto a la atención y experiencia al cliente en el sector aeroportuario colombiano, en donde no solo se proyecta la imagen del espacio, sino de todo un país. Colombia es un país completamente diverso, que cuenta con grandes posibilidades que ofrecer a sus turistas y que mejor que crear grandes experiencias partiendo de los usuarios más pequeños que hoy en día no cuentan con espacios diseñados para ellos. Esta iniciativa yace el deseo de crear momentos especiales y memorables para los niños y sus familias mientras atraviesan los altibajos emocionales de los viajes. Desde el momento en que ponen un pie en el aeropuerto, queremos lograr que se sientan en casa, incluso cuando están lejos de ella. La participación de los niños en el proceso de viaje, no solo les brindara una sensación de pertenencia y empoderamiento, sino que también creara lazos emocionales duraderos con el aeropuerto y sus experiencias de viaje.

Abstract

This thesis aims to transform the traveler's experience at El Dorado Airport, shifting it from merely a transit point to a space that promotes the well-being of the entire community. By focusing on the needs of children and adopting an inclusive approach, the project aspires to set higher standards in customer care and experience in the Colombian airport sector, where not only the image of the space is projected but of the entire country. Colombia is a highly diverse country with great opportunities to offer its tourists, and what better way to create great experiences than by starting with the youngest users, who currently lack spaces designed for them. This initiative stems from the desire to create special and memorable moments for children and their families as they navigate the emotional highs and lows of travel. From the moment they step into the airport, we want them to feel at home, even when they are far from it. The participation of children in the travel process will not only give them a sense of belonging and empowerment but will also create lasting emotional bonds with the airport and their travel experiences.
