Addressing the wounds of the Earth in San Juan Nepomuceno. Armed conflict and environmental impact of the territory, from collective historical memory as a contribution to the school in peace building.

Zusammenfassung

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo explorar el impacto del conflicto armado en San Juan Nepomuceno, Bolívar, desde una perspectiva ambiental, centrándose en la naturaleza como víctima, analizando las implicaciones para la biodiversidad y los ecosistemas locales. Para esto se realizó un rastreo de antecedentes sobre el conflicto armado en el área de los Montes de María y sus diferentes municipios, en especial, en San Juan Nepomuceno, y la identificación de categorías teóricas para sustentar la temática a investigar. Así, por medio de la metodología del estudio cualitativo hermenéutico interpretativo se inició un trabajo de campo que incluyó, entrevistas a campesinos(as), maestros(as), actores de gobierno, y comunidad en general; así como el uso de narraciones realizadas por otros participantes. Los resultados permitieron reconocer que el medio ambiente es una de las principales víctimas que ha dejado el conflicto armado en San Juan Nepomuceno y Colombia en general, lo que no es tan visible. Por otro lado, se evidencia la importancia de la memoria histórica como una responsabilidad individual y colectiva, donde las voces, testimonios y anécdotas de las víctimas del conflicto armado, permiten identificar y reconocer los daños ocasionados, las formas de reparación y restauración del medio ambiente, como aportes al campo educativo y a las comunidades, para la construcción de una paz en los territorios y contribuir a mitigar los impactos.

Abstrakt

The objective of this research was to explore the impact of the armed conflict in San Juan Nepomuceno, Bolívar, from an environmental perspective, focusing on nature as a victim, analyzing the implications for biodiversity and local ecosystems. For this purpose, background research on the armed conflict in the Montes de María area and its different municipalities, especially in San Juan Nepomuceno, and the identification of theoretical categories to support the topic to be investigated. Then, by means of the methodology of the interpretative hermeneutic qualitative study, field work was initiated that included interviews with farmers, teachers, government actors, and the community in general, as well as the use of narratives made by other participants. The results allowed us to recognize that the environment is one of the main victims of the armed conflict in San Juan Nepomuceno and Colombia in general, which is not so visible. On the other hand, the importance of historical memory as an individual and collective responsibility is evidenced, where the voices, testimonies and anecdotes of the victims of the armed conflict, allow identifying and recognizing the damages caused, the forms of reparation and restoration of the environment, used as contributions to the educational field and to the communities, for the construction of peace in the territories and to contribute to mitigate the impacts.
