| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad dar a conocer laintervención realizada en el Panteón del Tepeyac entre 1993y 1996, un cementerio de singular importancia en el Valle deMéxico, con el objeto de llamar la atención sobre la relevanciadel estudio de los cementerios históricos a través de lainvestigación documental, valoración de sus caracterespaisajísticos y de las necesarias operaciones de restauracióntendientes a salvaguardar su indiscutible valor artístico y arquitectónico.Al mismo tiempo presenta los resultados de lainvestigación puntual sobre el origen y visicitudes de la esculturafuneraria probablemente más interesante del cementerio:el "ángel del Silencio". | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The present work has the purpose to show the intervention taken place in the Panteón del Tepeyac (1993 -1996), a cemetery of singular value in the Valley of Mexico; in order to call attention on the importance of the study of historical cemeteries, through documentary investigation, valuation of its landscape character and the necessary restoration activities to safe these unquestionable artistic and architectural landmarks. At the same time the paper presents the results of the research on the origin of the more interesting funerary sculpture of the cemetery: the Angel del Silencio. | eng |
