dc.descriptionThe study area is located in the San Cristóbal locality, on the Eastern Hills, and is immersed in the context of the Environmental Conflict and how this opens the door to the non-compliance of the Right to the City in popular neighborhoods due to the dispossession of its inhabitants thanks to the declaration of the Adaptation Strip and the Protective Forest Reserve of the Eastern Forest of Bogotá. The dispossession is carried out under the resettlement program, which has generated, on the one hand, a fragmentation of the territory since urban voids are created in the properties of the resettled families, which become garbage dumps or foci of insecurity, which generates a qualitative deficit in the public space. On the other hand, it can be found that the territory is at risk of disappearing since, currently, 81% of properties have been resettled. Additionally, it is important to emphasize that the resettlement program transfers families to urban environments far from their territory, which results in a change in the lifestyle they have had over the years. Understanding that the territory of the Ecobarrio Triángulo y Manantial is erroneously categorized under a state of High Risk due to landslides - since the community has managed to finance geological studies carried out by the National University and the Districtal Francisco José de Caldas University that support it - the following is obtained: On a large scale, the project seeks, through the planning of an Urban Environmental Corridor, to increase pedestrian accessibility to the territory and the generation of intraterritorial tissues - for the physical recovery of the urban environment and the generation of resilience to the risk of landslides - and interterritorial - for the establishment of urban-rural links. This corridor allows the reduction of barriers and the improvement of the environmental, spatial and urban landscape of the territory, thus proposing a true environmental and social sustainability, which contributes to an integrated vision of the public space. On a smaller scale, a specific public space project is proposed for the recovery of urban voids in the Manantial and Triángulo Alto neighborhoods. It will have learning spaces such as environmental classrooms and experimental laboratories; a waste management center, which will be used for the production of compost and fertilizers in a natural way, accompanied by a space for gardens; a community hall, as a space for civic empowerment; and an area for the collection and treatment of rainwater. These intervention proposals are put forward in order to guarantee that the inhabitants of the Ecobarrio can remain in their territory and finally, have the means to be able to sustain themselves with it.spa
dc.description.abstractEste texto examina los retos socio-ambientales que enfrenta una comunidad en San Cristóbal, Bogotá, como resultado de la implementación de normas ambientales, específicamente la declaración de una Franja de Adaptación y una Reserva Forestal Protectora. Este proceso ha llevado al desplazamiento forzado y a la fragmentación urbana, afectando significativamente el derecho a la ciudad de los residentes. El programa de reasentamiento ha agravado estos problemas al reubicar a las familias en lugares distantes, alterando sus redes sociales y económicas. Sin embargo, la comunidad se ha resistido activamente a estas medidas, encargando estudios geológicos independientes para cuestionar la evaluación del gobierno sobre el nivel de riesgo de la zona. La comunidad propone un enfoque alternativo: el desarrollo de un «Corredor Medioambiental Urbano». Esta iniciativa pretende aumentar la resiliencia de la comunidad mejorando la accesibilidad, restaurando los vacíos urbanos y promoviendo prácticas sostenibles, como huertos comunitarios y sistemas de recogida de agua de lluvia. En última instancia, el proyecto pretende capacitar a los residentes para que permanezcan en sus hogares, hacer frente a los efectos negativos del desplazamiento y fomentar un entorno urbano más equitativo y sostenible.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishThis text examines the socio-environmental challenges faced by a community in San Cristóbal, Bogotá, resulting from the implementation of environmental regulations, specifically the declaration of an Adaptation Strip and a Protective Forest Reserve. This process has led to forced displacement and urban fragmentation, significantly impacting the residents' right to the city. The resettlement program has exacerbated these issues by relocating families to distant locations, disrupting their social and economic networks. However, the community has actively resisted these measures, commissioning independent geological studies to challenge the government's assessment of the area's risk level. The community proposes an alternative approach: the development of an "Urban Environmental Corridor." This initiative aims to enhance the community's resilience by improving accessibility, restoring urban voids, and promoting sustainable practices, such as community gardens and rainwater harvesting systems. Ultimately, the project seeks to empower residents to remain in their homes, address the negative impacts of displacement, and foster a more equitable and sustainable urban environment.spa
