dc.description.abstractDurante el desempeño de su quehacer, la profesión de enfermería se enfrenta a procedimientos que requieren de conocimientos y habilidades específicas para que al ser realizados beneficien y no lesionen la integridad del paciente. Para tal fin, este artículo explica en forma detallada el procedimiento en la toma de los Gases Arteriales (GA), determina los cuidados antes, durante y después de la toma, e incluye la interpretación de los resultados obtenidos para así complementar un cuidado de enfermería efectivo para la vida del paciente. ABSTRACTA registered nurse durin her/his rally routine has to perform different procedures. These special procedures demand from her/him specific skils so that being performed they promote the patient's integrity avoiding damage to his/her health. To achieve this purpose this article explains in every detail the Arterial Gases (GA) detection procedure. furthermore it determines the health care to be appliedd before and during the whole procedure. It includes the obtained results interpretation so as to fulfil every thing required to give the patient(client) an effective and fruitful nursing care.spa
