Sommario
Astratto
In the following paper we draw three critiques aimed at the inductive conception of the causal inference. The thesis we defend is that said conception has some misunderstandings at its base, which are of a conceptual kind. In particular, the first one aims at the distinction between causation and induction, the second deals with the usage of causal expressions and, finally, the third one addresses the belief according to which the conclusion of a causal inference constitutes merely probable knowledge. The conclusion of the paper is that an anthropological perspective frames the solution to the misunderstandings the inductive conception of the causal inference entails.
