Abstrait
The Aesthetics of Reception appears at theUniversity of Constance as a proposal that is looking forward to renew the literary studies and based on the interest of the students and teachers to create a theory in which the receptor is the core. Living in 1960, Jauss thinks about the reception through the aesthetic experience and the literary hermeneutics. On one hand, it is outstanding the fact that the aesthetic experience is always pleasant and it is compound by three modalities: poiesis(the productive aspect),aisthesis( the receptive aspect) and catarsis (the communicative aspect). The joint of the three modalities of the esthetic experience will bring changes to the lives of the receptors. On the other hand, the literary hermeneutics is the art of the interpretation and the comprehension of texts. Jauss stablishes a close relationship with Gadamer that sends the reader to some notions of the philosophical hermeneutics, such as: fusion of horizons, dialogue, the history of the effects and the tradition. So much as the aesthetic experience as the literary hermeneutics allows the encounter with a foreign horizon, with anhorizon of the other that enriches the own horizon. At last, it is important to note that Hans-Robert Jauss studies, as well, the literary horizon of expectation and the social horizon of expectation with the purpose of understanding more broadly how does the encounter between the horizons occurs.
