Sommario

This paper analyzes the familiar accompaniment that occurs in the reading process of the students in initial education, the articulation between the parents and teachers that intervene there, and the way in which the children are affected; for which a process of observation and analysis of the reading practices that take place in the school was carried out and a tracking of those that are acquired in the home, in order to determine how involved the two parties are, and the way how they influence the approach of children to reading. It is a study that goes in two ways, since it seeks to analyze how what the child acquires at home affects their reader behavior in school, but also, to establish to what extent the school tends to involve parents in the educational process that there they establish. The analysis is based on the studies of Heath (1991) that investigates the practices and habits that begin at home with mom and dad, to later understand the changes in the behavior of children when they start school life; and of Compton (2007), in which he states that during the interactions that occur in the reading processes, there is also a hierarchical recognition that influences and allows a greater approach and experience with the reading activity.
