realidad.
Abstrait
The current thesis, Exegetical Analysis from the Epistemes Pythagorico-Euclidean: through a
mathematical ontology and epistemology, deals with the search, identification and
characterization of those primitive notions by which all mathematics are built. There is a
parallelism between those foundational notions and some of the great philosophical themes. It
has been chosen the exegetical analysis as the working method through the entire text in order
to study the original Greek texts, which are those from: Aristotle, Diogenes Laërtius and the
unknown author of The Golden Verses of Pythagoras, whose commentaries were
brought to us by Hierocles of Alexandria. As a result of this work, it has been pursued in all
the text the dialogue with modern mathematical tradition, taking into account the thinking
and philosophical method: which is a critical thought, which returns constantly on its
thematic contents in order to reveal its primordial founding. The contents richness is present in
each chapter, which is an invitation to go further in a more detail way;
nevertheless this purpose is far beyond the scope of this work. Is our hope to promote a close
brotherhood between philosophy and mathematics, both having the same origin although each
one represents a different side of the same reality.
