Abstract
Urban deterioration has always been a factor in the development of the city over time, marked persistently by the premise of the population change that inhabits it and hand in hand the creation of invisible borders. This is the case of the Santafé neighborhood, which over the years has faced constant transition that since 2004 led it to be the only area of legal tolerance in Bogotá. By containing such contrasting uses with the city and without the appropriate transitions with their immediate context, physical barriers were imposed marked by forms of magnitude that isolated these areas and inhibited them from being part of a POT that responded to the needs and dynamics of the place . These barriers are condemned to be strengthened since Santafé is an area where the impacts of future development projects in the center of Bogotá have not yet been measured.
The problems of the Santafé neighborhood were analyzed from the book of the French sociologist Henri Lefebvre that in his book "The production of space" analyzes the city from three levels: the conceived, the perceived and the lived city; coming to the conclusion of the importance of urban renewal that seeks to change the balance in which these aspects are developed; it seeks to show its potential by generating an urban catalyst that allows the potentialization of the main urban elements that shape it and revitalize the dynamics of the sector.
