Deconstruction of romantic love : myths and narrativesResumen
Abstract
Romantic love is a central axis in the life of the human being, and has generated certain romantic expectations throughout the lives of women. This love is built under socio-cultural parameters that seek to respond to mercantile and control interests that end up harming women and their romantic expectations, as this configures a notion of patriarchal love that makes them suffer and does not allow them to enjoy freedom and of the benefits that a love relationship should bring.
Additionally, women live this love under practices and myths, that have been reproduced throughout history in different cultural codes, which they consume from an early age, which makes them think that this love that hurts them so much is natural .
Throughout the investigation a review will be made about love and the context in which it was evolving to determine what are the myths, practices and narratives that have led to configure romantic love. It also seeks to understand how women live love by analyzing their perception, expectations and experiences around love.
