| dc.description.abstract | El artículo sobre la evolución de la ciudad histórica de Campeche, en México, nos permite entender los valores urbanos e históricos de esta ciudad portuaria, situada al oeste de la península de Yucatán. En este proceso se describen sus funciones dentro del recinto y las vías regionales, así como elementos tipológicos y desarrollo constructivo, así se comprenden las reformas del sistema fortificado que hasta hoy prevalece. Pocas ciudades muestran la secuencia de transformaciones ocasionadas por las fuerzas de su desarrollo ulterior, y sin duda esto favoreció la valoración universal otorgada por la UNESCO, para incluirla en la Lista de Patrimonio Mundial en 1999. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This paper describes the Historical City of Campeche in Mexico, defining the urban and historical values of this located harbor city in the Yucatan Peninsula. It also describes the different aspects within the enclosure and the regional routes, as well as typological elements and their process of construction to be always up-to-date with the reforms of the modern fortifications. Few cities can stop the sequence of transformations caused by the forces of development and example of this was the universal nomination by UNESCO for its perpetual conservation. | eng |
