| dc.description.abstract | Este ensayo ofrece un acercamiento crítico a la relación entre modernidad, posmodernidad, transmodernidad y poscolonialismo. Rastrea la genealogía de las nociones fundamentales que subyacen a los regímenes temporales de la modernidad y reformula el panoptismo foulcualtiano en términos de mapas espaciales y temporales. Según el autor, bajo el cristianismo existe una cronotopología especial que regenta la trascendencia y la vida social en términos de cálculo de lo teleológico. Esta cronotopía ha asumido diferentes cronogramas, a saber, lo moderno, lo posmoderno y lo poscolonial. El ensayo concluye con un ejemplo práctico de cómo la cronotopología de la modernidad se manifiesta en el caso de la biotecnología y la colonización genética. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This essay offers a crtical appraisal of the relationship between modernity, postmodernity and transmodernity (and the post- colonial). It begins with a genealogy of the fundamental no- tions underpinning the temporal regimes of modernity. Foucault's notion of the panopticon is reformulated not in terms of optics or oculocentrism, but in terms of temporal and spatial mappings. Underlying Christendom, modernity, postmodernity, the author argues, is a particular chronotopology that regiments transcendence and social life in tercos of a calcu- lus of the teleological. This chronotope has assumed different chronograms, i.e. the modern, postmodern and postcolonial. The essay concludes offering a practical example of how the chronotopology of modernity works itself out in the case of biotechnology and genetic colonization. | eng |
